Sunsetter awnings are often installed on the wall or to the underside of an overhang, but they can be installed on the roof with the use of special roof-mounting brackets.

Can you mount a car awning without roof racks?

How far do Sunsetter awnings extend?
Projection: : Our Motorized Model extends out up to 10 feet 2 inches from your house (the 10 and 11 foot awnings extend out 9 feet, and the 8 foot wide size projects out 7 feet). The Motorized XL model extends out a full 11 feet 8 inches from your house. Both models can be partially opened in any position.

How much weight can a fascia board hold?
An ice filled gutter can apply about 20 pounds of weight per lineal foot to the fascia board. This weight is usually manageable for the fascia board. However, a twelve foot wide roof for a patio or other addition can apply about 180 pounds per lineal foot to the fascia board.
